After you sign in, Beam gives you a six-character code. Your partner signs in on their own phone, taps I have a code and types it — or scans the QR code, or taps the invite link you share. A code works once and only until your partner joins.
Touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen, tap Edit then Add Widget, and choose Beam. When your partner records something with 📷, it appears on that widget. Photos and messages sent with ＋ stay in your conversation and do not change the widget.
Touch and hold the message, then tap Delete…. On something you sent, Delete for both removes it from both of your phones; Delete for me hides it from yours only. On something your partner sent, you can delete it for yourself.
Touch and hold one of your partner's messages and tap Report…. We review reports within 24 hours. To stop hearing from someone, leave the pair: tap the settings button at the top of your conversation, then Leave pair. The conversation ends for both of you.
Tap the settings button at the top of your conversation, then Delete account. It is immediate and permanent. What happens to your data is in the Privacy Policy.
