Your favorite person, right on your home screen.
Beam is a widget for two. Send a photo or a video and it shows up on your partner's iPhone — moving, automatic, just for them.
The small stuff is the good stuff.
Beam is for everything that would never make it to social media.
Two minutes to set up. Then it just happens.
Pair with your person
One invite link, or a code you read out loud.
7K2M9QXDSend a moment
A photo, a video, a caption — off it goes.
It lands on their home screen
Animated, automatic. No app to open.
Little ways to stay close
No feed, no followers, no likes to count. Just the two of you.
Widgets that actually move
GIFs and video really animate — not a frozen first frame.
Reactions
Answer with an emoji or a little sound sticker.
Voice notes
Send your voice when typing won't do.
Ping
One tap tells them you're thinking of them.
Days together
Counts from your real anniversary — not the day you installed an app.
Private by default
No ads, no trackers, no strangers. Sign in with Apple.
Just the two of you. Really.
Your relationship isn't content. The privacy policy is the long version — this is the whole idea:
- Only your partner sees your moments. Media links expire, so nothing floats around forever.
- No ad tech. No advertising identifiers, analytics SDKs, location or contacts — and your photos never train any AI.
- Leaving is one tap. End the pairing or delete your account and everything in it, right in the app.
Questions couples ask
What is Beam?
An iPhone app and home-screen widget for couples. Pair with your partner, and whatever either of you sends appears on the other's home screen as a moving widget.
Does the widget really animate?
Yes — GIFs and video play inside the widget itself, in both the small and large sizes. Beam bakes the frames into a font on your iPhone, which is the trick that makes it possible.
Do I have to open the app to see a new moment?
No. A push notification wakes the widget and the new moment appears on its own. You open the app to reply, hear a voice note or browse your shared albums.
Is Beam good for long-distance relationships?
Very. Moments arrive instantly anywhere in the world, and pings, voice notes and the days-together counter all exist to make the distance feel smaller.
How do we pair?
One of you shares an invite link — it looks like widgetbeam.app/i/XXXXXXXX —
or reads out the eight-character code for the other to type.
Can I use Beam with more than one person?
No. One active pairing at a time, by design. If a pairing ends, its moments stay isolated from any new pairing you start.
Is Beam available on Android?
No — Beam is built around iOS home-screen widgets, so both of you need an iPhone running iOS 17 or later.
What happens if we break up?
Either of you can end the pairing, which stops all sharing immediately. You can delete your account and all of its content from inside the app.
Be on their home screen.
Two minutes to set up — and checking your phone starts to feel like a hug.
